On November 6th 2019 more than 60 museum professionals have participated at the Materials Testing Symposium  organized by the Materials Working Group of AIC (American Institute of Conservation) at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City.

On the following days, November 7th and 8th, the annual meeting of the MWG took place at the MET and approximately 40 MWG members were involved in discussions and evaluation of the planned activities regarding: Resources and dissemination, Materials selection and specifications, Materials testing and standards.
Oscar Chiantore and Bruno Goppion attended at the meetings and the opportunity was given for a presentation of the APACHE  project. In particular the survey on needs and challenges for collections display and storage was highlighted and the participants from North American Museums invited to contribute.
