APACHE organized the meeting NANO-SYSTEMS: Research and Applications on Cultural Heritage, which took place on the 16th of May 2022 at Caparica, Portugal, both in person and online. The meeting’s focus was on how Nano-materials have features that are unique and distinct from bulk materials. This resulted in improved chemical, electrical, magnetic, and optical properties, all of which are critical for a variety of applications.

The conservation company NEON Art Conservation and the NOVA School of Science and Technology are collaborating to explore the world of Nano-systems applied to cultural heritage conservation through a workshop divided into two sections: first, theoretical lectures and presentations on research and implementation aspects of Nano-materials, and then two practical workshops on application methodologies and the use of some Nano-systems.
