The Presentation of the European project APACHE was organized in partnership with Museu de Arte Contemporanea (MAC) USP, Linha d’Agua Difusão Cultural and the APACHE Consortium. The presentation was held in the MAC USP an important museum and exhibition venue. Over a hundred participants, among them registrars, conservators, conservation scientists, collection managers, curators and students attended the meeting. The day included presentations during the morning session and a practical activity, for a limited number of 25 participants, during the afternoon session.

The presentation started with a general view of the project by Piero Baglioni (project coordinator) highlighting the structure, the concepts and the research areas as well as the potential of the materials and tools that will be developed during the next 42 months. In the second presentation, Antonio Mirabile (dissemination leader) explored the boundaries between pure scientific research and transmission to stakeholders, he discussed about the importance of organising a set of trainings on the proper use of the developed materials and tools.

The afternoon session was more a demonstration on the use of nanomaterials developed during the previous European project NANORESTART.
