The APACHE Kick-off Meeting took place in Venice on the 30th and 31st of January 2019 at the Aula Magna Silvio Trentin in Cà Dolfin.

The European Commission was present at the Kick-off Meeting and it was represented by the Project Officer, René Martins.

Antonio Marcomini and Elena Semenzin (UNIVE) welcomed the attendees on the behalf of the University of Venice, congratulated the Project Consortium, and introduced the facilities and the role of UNIVE in the project.

The Project Coordinator, Piero Baglioni, thanked UNIVE for hosting the meeting, thanked the EU Commission, and congratulated the Project Consortium; then, the Project Officer, René Martins talked about the importance of networking and clustering and he explained to the audience the news towards the Horizon Europe programme. After the Project Officer presentations, it was the turn of the Work Packages presentations which were organized in round tables. Each round table was structured as follows: the WP leaders chaired the session, showing slides with the main open issues, and discussed the operative steps with all the involved partners. The sessions were co-chaired by David Chelazzi.

The aim of the WP roundtables was to define operative steps for the partners, in order to complete the foreseen deliverables.

The partners, moreover, had the occasion to visit the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
